Colegio Gran Bretaña is a highly prestigious, private, co-educational, international day school (Nursery – Year 13) serving a predominately expatriate population representing more than 50 nationalities.

CGB follows the Northern Hemisphere Calendar from August to June (Calendar B).

Additional Languages

Our robust Additional Language Department caters for children with different levels of Spanish, and offers a structured and effective EAL programme to support learners with little or no prior knowledge of English.

Counselling and Emotional Guidance

Our Counselling and Emotional Guidance department offers support to you as a family, or to your child, not only during the transition stage but throughout your entire time at CGB.

Educational Achievement

CGB's Educational Achievement Department caters for special needs and supports children in their diverse learning processes, including the enrichment program that offers stretch and challenge for those who find learning easy.

CGB’s Accreditations and Affiliations

This is the curriculum used for children in Nursery and Reception. In English VESS stands for a Meaningful Life with balance and Wisdom.

The International Primary Curriculum is followed in classes from Year 1 to Year 6.

The International Middle Years Curriculum is followed in Year 7 to 9.

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education, from Cambridge Assessment, is followed in Years 10 and 11.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is followed in Years 12 and 13.

Council of International Schools is one of our external auditors.

New England Association of Schools and Colleges is one of our external auditors and allows us to present our graduates with a US High School Diploma.

The Round Square Organisation opens up the world to our students through exchanges, conferences and the RS IDEALS.

Union of International Schools allows our students to compete in sporting events and participate in artistic festivals with other international schools in Bogotá.
